Waterfall of Kites allows me to combine cultural memory with large-scale community creativity. Inspired by the vibrant kite-flying traditions of South Asia, this Manasamitra project brings people together through making, storytelling and music. The final installation—a cascading “waterfall” of handcrafted kites—celebrates colour, joy and shared belonging. Each kite holds community voices, creating a collective artwork that speaks to heritage, imagination and hope. Waterfall of Kites is my tribute to the beauty of diversity and the power of collaborative art to lift spirits and strengthen local connection.
